Let's talk envelopes.

I get a lot of questions about which envelopes I recommend and where affordable, but still nice quality, envelopes can be found.

Over the past 9 years of doing what I do, I've purchased A LOT of envelopes and I've ended up with some majorly disappointing envelopes, which I never use unless it's for something that really doesn't matter like handing a check to the lawn care guy, but I've also found some real winners which I'm going to share with you today.

I've organized the recommendations below as a one stop resource which should be really useful to you if you are looking for quality envelopes, but don't want to spend your entire budget on a secondary item like envelopes! 

I've organized this list based on size. So just find the size envelope you need below and view my recommendations from there. I've tried to use Amazon as the primary source because so many people use Amazon and their delivery is fast...and let's face it by the time you think of ordering envelopes you're usually in a rush to get them! (Most of the links below are affiliate links which give me a small commission when you buy them at no added cost to you. SIZE A2 ENVELOPES:

The A2 envelope size fits a card sized at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (the envelope is sized at 4 3/8" x 5 3/4"). 

Most people use this size envelope for folded note cards and stationery. 

Here are my favorite recommendations for A2 envelopes:

• My very favorite brand is LuxPaper Envelopes. The color selection is excellent and I really love the thick paper used. These envelopes don't feel thin or flimsy. Just a heads up: You will notice some of the colors shown in the link above include an image of a "peel & seal" adhesive strip so that you don't have to lick the envelope to seal it. Some colors include the "peel & seal" and some colors do not include it. Each color states if it includes that peel & seal strip or not. If you need a color that does not include the peel & seal and you prefer not to lick envelopes, try using an envelope moistener.
• Brown kraft Envelopes are extremely popular right now. I like these kraft envelopes which include a self seal adhesive strip. 
• With just a little sheen and shimmer, metallic envelopes are also very popular right now. I like this brand and lots of color options are included.
• A really excellent way to add a very nice touch to your envelopes is to include envelope liners like these. I can design custom envelope liners to match your card or invitation. Contact me for more information. 

SIZE A6 ENVELOPES:

The A6 envelope size fits a card sized at 4.5" x 6.25" (the envelope is sized at 4 3/4" x 6 1/2"). 

This size envelope is mostly used for flat note cards and stationery which is not folded.

• I recommend LuxPaper Envelopes. The color selection is excellent and I really love the thick paper used. Very affordable and it uses the peel & seal strip so you don't have to do all of that yucky envelope licking. If price is not an issue and you're really looking for higher quality envelopes, go with these.
• Metallic Envelopes are very popular right now too. They include just a little bit of shimmer for a really beautiful detail. 
• A really excellent way to add a very nice touch to your envelopes is to include envelope liners like these. I can design custom envelope liners to match your card or invitation. Contact me for more information. 

SIZE A7 ENVELOPES:

The A7 envelope size fits a card sized at 5" x 7" (the envelope is sized at 5 1/4" x 7 1/4"). 

This size envelope is mostly used for invitations and announcements like birthday party invitations, birth announcements, and wedding invitations. Extra postage is NOT required to mail this size envelope.

• As with all of the previous envelope sizes, I recommend LuxPaper Envelopes. The color selection is excellent and I really love the thick paper used. These envelopes don't feel thin or flimsy.
• These Brown Kraft Envelopes are offered at a low price and still have very nice quality. A Peel & Seal strip is included so you don't have to do the dreaded envelope licking! This color envelope is a very popular option right now!
• Metallic envelopes are very popular right now too. They include just a little bit of shimmer for a really beautiful detail. More color options are available here. And just a few more really nice color options are available here as well.
